With a background in Dance, RAD Classical Ballet, CSTD Theatrical and Tap dancing, and a career as a professional dancer, Susanne has been teaching dance to children and adults on and off for over 20 years. After taking a break for several years, she missed the feeling of being strong and flexible and then began practicing and fell in love with the Pilates method over 9 years ago.
“ I was amazed at the way it made my body feel, it gave me so much more than what a traditional gym workout. As a dancer I am in awe at how Pilates conditions the body, I liken it to the lengthening and strengthening benefits of classical ballet training, without the pain. I also love the mind and body connection. It benefits people involved in all forms of movement and sports. It is also a wonderful way to maintain a strong and healthy body as we age”.
Susanne has studied to become a Certified Pilates Instructor Cert. 4 with Polestar Pilates Australia and the Australian Fitness Institute. She offers classes in Matwork, Stretch and Mobility and Barre work. She enjoys teaching the traditional strong classical style Pilates, but also introduces flowing movement, stretching and integrates new challenges into the repertoire each week to build strength.
“Come and join me for a class, make a positive change to achieve better posture, balance, flexibility and strength. You will feel energised!! “
