Bernd Adolph - Senior Therapist & WAIS Provider

Bernd Adolph established Subi Sports Massage & Physio, WA’s first and most trusted sports-dedicated soft-tissue therapy clinic, in 1991. He qualified in Physiotherapy in Germany and has been employed as a soft-tissue therapist at six Olympic Games and six Commonwealth Games. Through his passion for elite sport performance he has forged close working relationships with some of the best athletes and sporting bodies across the country, including Australian Cricket (he toured with the team to the UK in 2010 and to India and Sri Lanka for the 2011 World Cup), Australian Swimming, and the Australian Diamonds, for whom he is currently Senior Soft-tissue Therapist. Bernd - or 'BA' as he is better known - was drawn to the industry after spending many months in hospital as a teenager and greatly benefiting from the expertise of trained massage therapists.

Andreas Olbrich - Senior Therapist


Andreas Olbrich is one of our most experienced senior remedial massage therapists and is also a sports massage lecturer at Challenger TAFE. He has worked at Subi Sports Massage & Physio since September 2007 and specialises in the treatment of sporting and muscular injuries, using sports massage, dry needling, cupping and exercise rehab for excellent results. Andreas has worked with many Olympic and other elite athletes and enjoys working closely with people and getting results in a flexible work environment. With Andreas, you can expect a firm sports massage following a thorough professional assessment.

Shioto Fukushima - Senior Therapist & WAIS Provider


Shioto has been working as a senior therapist since 2015 and is a recognised WAIS preferred therapist. Originally from Japan, where Shioto qualified and practised as a neuro-musculoskeletal physiotherapist, he earned his PhD in applied biomechanics of the spine from the University of Western Australia in 2010. Since then, Shioto has divided his time between university teaching and research whilst developing a strong client base at Subiaco Sports Massage Clinic. Shioto has expertise in treating common ailments (e.g., headaches and neck/back pain) as well as sports injuries and musculoskeletal degenerative conditions. All consultations begin with discussion regarding current symptoms and relevant history for Shioto to provide the most effective specialised techniques for the presenting issue(s). Shioto is claimable on all private health funds and is fully qualified for dry needling. Shioto is a preferred WAIS provider.


Jaye Thomas - Senior Therapist & Pilates instructor 


Jaye has extensive experience working with national and international professional athletes across swimming, athletics, rugby, and gymnastics. Her own background extends to strength and conditioning, competitive weightlifting, and Olympic lifting. Jaye is now more focused on aspects of yoga and Pilates after sustaining serious injury. Jaye is qualified in mat, reformer and studio-based Pilates and has a keen interest in helping people overcome injury and pain to get back to movement. Jaye bases a lot of her treatment on fascial release theory, techniques and positioning and working with conscious breath to build better body awareness and connectivity. Jaye has a special interest in treating headaches, migraines, TMJ and other stress related syndromes. Jaye is claimable on all health funds.


Jesse Jacobs - Senior Therapist


Jesse Jacobs is a senior remedial massage therapist who completed his studies in the Netherlands and at the Australian College of Sports Therapy in Melbourne. Jesse moved to Perth in 2010 and shortly thereafter joined Subiaco Sports Massage Clinic in January 2011. Jesse has more than 12 years experience as a professional dancer and extensive experience as a remedial massage therapist working in the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland. He is currently the massage therapist for the West Australian Ballet assisting in the treatment of injuries, rehabilitation and injury prevention. He is also a WAIS preferred therapist and has training in deep tissue, trigger point and myofacial techniques as well as a certificate in Kinesiology taping.

Jeremy McClure - Remedial Massage Therapist


Jeremy McClure has been with Subi Sports Massage Clinic since 2007. He received his Diploma Of Sports Massage from Mt Lawley Tafe. He competed at 2004/2008/2016 Paralympics as a blind swimmer. He worked alongside the 2010 / 2011 Perth Glory Team. He has also treated the Hockeyroos, tri-athletes, enjoys treating swimmers, athletes or any client with broad range of conditions.

Jayne Evans - Senior Therapist & WAIS Provider 


Jayne Evans completed an Honours Degree in Sports Rehabilitation from Salford University. Jayne has experience working in Sports Injury Clinics, as well as working with professional sports teams including Bradford Bulls Rugby Union Football Club and Manchester United Ladies Football Club. Jayne specialises in muscular skeletal sports injuries and rehabilitation. Jayne is trained in deep tissue massage, sports massage, stretching techniques, trigger point, relaxation massage, cupping & pregnancy massage. Jayne regularly treats the WAIS Gymnastics Team and is a therapist for the West Coast Fever & the Australian Diamonds netball teams. Jayne is a preferred WAIS provider.

Klaudia Rowna - Senior Therapist & WAIS Provider 


Klaudia finished a Bachelor Degree of Physiotherapy in Poland before moving to Australia. She continued with her studies and completed her Diploma of Remedial Massage and Certificate III in Fitness. Klaudia joined our team in 2015 and since then has experience in remedial massage, relaxation massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy and kinesiotape. She was drawn to the industry through her interest in sport and specific sporting injuries and has a keen interest in CrossFit. With Klaudia, you can expect a firm sports massage, including trigger-point work. Klaudia is a preferred WAIS provider.


Fred Vanin - Senior Therapist


Fred is one of our Senior Remedial Massage therapists and has been working for Subiaco Sports Massage and Physio since 2015. Originally from Brazil he completed a bachelor degree in Physiotherapy in 2007. He also has Australian diplomas in Remedial Massage and Sports and Fitness. Fred has an expansive background in sports where he has been working for Football and Futsal teams worldwide for over 10 years plus working with professional athletes here at Subi Sports. Sports massage, dry needling, soft to deep tissue, trigger point release, myofascial therapy, and pregnancy massage are some of Fred's specialties at the clinic.

Kyoko Yoshitake - Senior Therapist


Kyoko completed her Diploma of Remedial Massage in Queensland in May 2016. During her course she worked closely with the NRL Titans and with cyclists. She has had training in remedial massage, relaxation massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, reflexology and sports massage. Kyoko was drawn to the industry for its great capacity to make a tangible difference in people's lives. She believes joining the industry was the best decision of her life. With Kyoko you can expect a firm massage, with trigger point work to relieve pain and improve mobility. Kyoko also offers calming massage for pregnant clients and for those seeking a more relaxing treatment. 

Corey Barber - Remedial Massage Therapist


Corey holds qualifications in Remedial Massage and Fitness and has a passion for all aspects of physical health and well-being. Corey has experience with injury prevention, injury rehabilitation, headaches and back pain. Corey is currently studying physiotherapy at university. 


Federico Shibukawa - Senior Therapist


Federico joined the Subi Sports team in 2018 with over 8 years experience in musculoskeletal injuries, treatment & neurological rehabilitation previously as a physiotherapist. 

Federico specialises in musculoskeletal, remedial massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, stretching, cross friction, kineseo taping & muscle energy. 


Tracey Tofts-Wharton - Senior Therapist


Tracey qualified as a Remedial Massage Therapist in 2009 and worked at Subiaco Sports massage before going travelling and now re-joining the team here. Tracey lived and worked in London for 8 years for the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute. At APPI Tracey also completed her Pilates training in both mat work and equipment Pilates. Tracey enjoys working with a diverse range of clients but with a keen interest in runners and triathletes, working alongside them as part of a training program. Tracey likes to incorporate some Pilates exercise or movement into a treatment session. In her spare time, she is Mum to one boy and enjoys keeping fit with Pilates, running and strength training.

Tanja Cokorac - Senior Therapist


Tanja has completed a Diploma of Remedial Massage, certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness, Diploma of Sports & Recreation as well as Therapeuic Yoga & Matwork Pilates courses. 


Tanja has experience in remedial massage, relaxation massage, deep tissue & trigger point therapy. 

Before moving to Perth, Tanja also completed a Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy in Croatia. She has previously worked in sports clubs in Croatia and has developed a special interest in musculoskeletal injuries & disorders.

Loryn Dodds (nee Turnock) - Senior Therapist

Loryn joined Subi Sports Massage & Physio as a full time therapist in 2015 with a BSc degree in Sports Therapy from the University of Hertfordshire in the UK. Over the years Loryn has worked with athletes from numerous disciplines including American football, rugby union, hockey, swimming, triathlon, trail running, soccer and Aussie rules as well as WAIS athletes. She has worked with elite teams and players such as the Western Force, Westcoast Fever, PGA golfers and Hockeyroos and visiting interstate teams. Loryn's background as a former competitive swimmer, tennis and hockey player has helped develop her appreciation of early intervention and injury prevention and she has a keen interest in sports injuries and musculoskeletal problems. She enjoys helping clients get back to full strength following an injury, a postural complaint, general life tensions or pregnancy relief for an expectant mother.  Beyond work Loryn has an interest in keeping the mind and body healthy and has competed in triathlons and swum in the Port to Pub. With Loryn, you can expect a deep-tissue treatment with trigger point therapy, needling, PNF stretching, cupping and self care advice.

Michelle Wu - Remedial Massage Therapist


Michelle has been massage therapist in Australia since 2012. She completed diploma of remedial massage and diploma of reflexology at Challenger TAFE. 

Michelle has expertise in treating injury such as bursitis, frozen shoulder or knees pain with combining different techniques to help for improving range of motion or swelling. Michelle has training in deep tissue, dry needling, sports massage, muscle energy technique, myofascial release, lymphatic drain technique, Pregnancy massage, cupping and reflexology. She’s also interesting in neuromuscular technique like EMMETT and Neurokinetic therapy.

Sage Mickle - Remedial Massage Therapist


Sage is a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist, with training in; Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofacial Release, Manual Lymphatic Drainage & Reflexology. She has an interest in sports massage & injury prevention. Sage currently works with Rockingham Sharks Rugby League Club as a massage therapist & sports trainer




Michael Wilkin - Remedial Massage Therapist


Michael is a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist, with training in; Deep Tissue Massage, Myofacial Release, Sports Massage, Trigger Point Therapy & Positional Release Technique, Soft tissue Therapy, PNF Stretching and Relaxation Massage. Michael has also worked a season along side a regional football team gaining experience in injury prevention, pre & post sports massage and increasing range of movement.

Jun Sumida - Remedial Massage Therapist


Jun is a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist, with training in Deep Tissue, trigger point therapy & Swedish massage.


Tomomi Yoshioka - Remedial Massage Therapist


Tomomi is a Remedial Massage Therapist from Japan and has over 2 years experience as a massage therapist.

She is trained in Deeptissue, Relaxation massage, Triggerpoint and cross friction therapy, Reflexology, Myofascia release and stretching. Her passion is in sports massage and sports injuries prevention.

Alisha Mah - Remedial Massage Therapist


Alisha is a fully qualified remedial massage therapist trained in the following; Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Points, Myofascial Release, Sport Specific Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Swedish Relaxation, Reflexology.
 Her treatments aim to address the following:
·         Aid in self-healing  ·         Correction of postural imbalances  ·         Pain and stress relief  

·         Injury rehabilitation and prevention  ·         Improve blood circulation 
 As an avid soccer player herself, Alisha understands the importance of proper rehabilitation and injury prevention, and her treatments can aid in this process. She has a keen interest in neck and back pain, as well as sport related treatment. 


Elena Bezzan - Remedial Massage Therapist


Elena is an High-Energy Remedial Massage Therapist and Osteopath from Italy with 8 years’ experience and deep knowledge of wide range of massage methods and techniques.
Elena has experience both working in Italy and overseas for Physiotherapy and Sports Clinics, Professional Soccer teams, Pilates Studio, Wellness & SPA.
She is skilled in deep tissue massage, trigger points therapy, PNF stretching, myofascial release, joint and visceral mobilisation, soft tissue, cupping, Kinesio Taping, muscles energy  and Relaxation massage. 
She has also completed her Diploma in Pilates Reformer in Italy and worked for a Pilates Postural studio for one year treating different kind of postural problems, muscular and joint problems, Sports rehabilitation, prevention of muscles and joint injuries.


Shane Asmussen - Remedial Massage Therapist 

Shane is a remedial massage therapist with over 10 years experience and uses remedial and sports massage techniques to identify problem areas. Other techniques can include MET and craniosacral as well as stretch and exercise prescription for preventative measures. Shane also has an interest in movement and exercise with previous experience as a personal trainer and is currently studying his bachelor degree in exercise physiology.

Tanya Charters - Remedial Massage Therapist


Tanya is a remedial massage therapist, who has been working at Subi Sports since November of 2020. She is claimable with private health funds. 

Tanya is fully qualified as a Remedial Massage Therapist, with training in; Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, Trigger Point Therapy & Positional Release Technique, Soft tissue Therapy, PNF Stretching, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Taping and Relaxation Massage.

Tanya has been actively involved in judo community of Western Australia for the past four years, and whilst she was training as a massage therapist she worked with the Fremantle Dockers Women’s Football team, and the Swan District Football Team. She has a fondness for working with children and their development throughout different sports. She is also currently studying Strategic Communication, Japanese and Asian Studies internally at Murdoch University. 

Isabella Kelley - Relaxation Massage Therapist


Isabella is a relaxation therapist who will complete her Diploma of Remedial Massage in May 2021. She also has her Certificate IV in Deep Tissue and Relaxation Massage. She likes to incorporate Myofascial Cupping and Kinetic Cupping whilst using specific Stretching techniques (PNF, MET), Trigger Point Therapy (PRT), Myofascial Release and Deep Tissue Massage throughout her treatments.

She has had experience in Sport Massage, working alongside the WA Baseball team and has a background in dancing and therefore has a special passion for treating dancers.
